Esperi Care is a nationwide nursing company that offers housing and medical services to the elderly, mental health rehabilitees and persons with disabilities. In Forssa, the services are centralised in the weaving mill property in the Finlayson area, owned by Renor. The property has been featuring homes for several years.
The location in the historically rich surroundings of the Finlayson area are a source of daily joy in the Esperi homes in Forssa. The City of Forssa grew around the factory in the past, and almost everyone living here has had one or more people in their family who have been working at the factory. Thus, Esperi has named the group homes with respect to history: they are called Puuvilla (cotton) and Popliini (poplin).
New, functional and beautiful space for homes
In summer 2016, new premises were completed for Esperi homes in the Finlayson area in Forssa. Esperi is satisfied with the completion of the project.
“The cooperation with Renor was uncomplicated and flexible. The current use of our premises is completely different from the original one. Cosiness and comfort were absolute requirements in the renovation. In addition, the premises had to be made accessible and such that the use of disability aids is possible,” says Kirsi Tuomola, unit manager at Hoivakoti Puuvilla and Hoitokoti Popliini.
“The transition required a lot of planning, but the competent Renor and Esperi team did a good job. We are happy that we are getting to move into new and renovated premises that serve our intended use in an excellent way,” Tuomola adds.
Esperi homes receive a lot of positive feedback from visitors about how traditional industrial facilities are taken into new use. In particular, the five-metre ceiling height has created a lot of excitement in many. The premises are light and spacious.
