The WSOYtalo building in Porvoo is one of the most important properties providing business premises in the city centre, and it is a diverse hub of private and public services and businesses. There are also meeting rooms and an auditorium for up to 134 persons.
The WSOYtalo building is over 120 years old. The beautiful building holds a special place in the heart of Finnish culture and, specifically, that of the urban culture in Porvoo. Within the building, we have built facilities for both office and health care services as well as those suitable for educational and cultural purposes. We have listened to our customers and worked together with them when developing new solutions. Otherwise, we could not have created the versatile city block WSOYtalo is today.
WSOYtalo carries spaces readily available for businesses and communities. In addition, there is raw space, fully adaptable to customers’ needs.
The history of the WSOYtalo building dates back to 1897, when Swedish Count Louis Sparre and Belgian A.W. Finch launched the operations of the Iris factory. The factory manufactured Finch’s unique pottery and furniture designed by Sparre. Werner Söderström Osakeyhtiö purchased the property for its publishing operations in 1906, and it was developed into the most modern printing house of the time in the Nordic countries. Renor purchased the WSOYtalo building in 2005.
